I was just farting around in the Barrens a bit. Finishing up some quests before heading south to the Southern Barrens when DING - Level 21. I headed up to Ashenvale for a look around and ended up picking up both flight paths there. That land is more familiar to me after Alesis and Foton went through it but the quests are new, so it might be worth hanging out up there for a bit.

Dogcow: Ding 20
I think we are getting more done with the Northern Barrens. Headed down to Camp Taurajo and were doing quests down there when I dinged 20. Lots of good stuff at 20 including Aspect of the Cheetah - a 30% speed improvement. About 1/2 way to the mount at 40.
Dual wield comes into play now too. I've doubled my 1 hand swords and we'll see how that plays in melee.
Wouldn't it be nice if I listed all of the quests I finished in this round? Yeah it would be for me. But I'm too lazy. I will post this interesting stat though:
Total time played: 1 day, 10 hours, 25 minutes.

Dogcow: Ding 19
In the Sludge Fen finishing Nugget Slugs.
After all this time in The Barrens, I still have 11 quests in my log from there. That doesn't count the 4 for Wailing Caverns. Sheesh!

Dogcow: More Barrens + Ragefire Chasm
More hanging out with Gröm and Novora, we did lots of quests in the Barrens and then headed out to Ragefire Chasm in the evening. During the afternoon, Rowr and I headed over to Silverpine Forest to finsh a couple of quest lines that are supposed to get me hooked on the undead lands. Feh. Maybe I'll head over there eventually but there sure is a lot to do in the Barrens.
Ragefire Chasm was pretty good. We wiped once when I hit the wrong key and started shooting rather than sending Rowr in the draw the aggro. Lame! Dinged 18 when turning in the quests from Ragefire Chasm. In a bit of a hurry to get to 20 so I can start to dash.
Did lots of leatherworking (85)and skinning (120). First aid is up to 90 now, need to start finding wool for the nicer bandages.

Dogcow: Northern Barrens
Finished up a number of quests running around the northern Barrens this evening. Dinged 13, 14 and 15 and met up with Novora and Gröm where we picked up the quests for Ragefire Chasm though we didn't start that yet. Perhaps tomorrow. On a trip to the Undercity, I picked up a few weapons skills including 1 and 2 handed swords so now my main weapon is a 1 handed sword. Gotta finish getting the skill level up on that so it is useful.
Tomorrow I need to get better first aid skillz and do some leatherworking leveling as well.
Lesson of the day: Even with a kick ass level 14 lion as your best friend, 3 pissed off turtles can really do you in.

Kicked out of Tully's
I was just about to sign in to play - and the Tully's I'm sitting at is closing. 8:00 pm. WTF? Where's a guy to go?
Introducing: Dogcow
Dogcow is a Tauren Hunter, created on April 29, 2006. He romped through the Tauren n00b-lands on Sunday and reached level 10 on Sunday. On Monday, having learned to tame beasts, went into the Mulgore Highlands in search of The Rake, one of the cooler rare beasts he can tame and certainly the only one a level 11 hunter can get. After a 15 minute or so wait with his old kitty, he saw The Rake and made him his own. Renamed "Rowr", Dogcow and his cat headed off to The Barrens to see what is next in their adventures.
Dogcow - named for the mascot of the Apple Developer Tech Support team (of which I am not a member, but I've always liked dogcows) - is into skinning and leatherworking and picked up fishing just yesterday. Interesting that this is the first character that I have ever tried fishing on. It took me a little while to get the hang of it since I didn't read the tooltip at first but now it is easier for him to get yummy fish to keep Rowr happy.
Onward to the Crossroads!

Introducing: Groove
Groove was created in early April 2006 as a Human Warlock. He is a tailor and enchanter and thus needs a lot of bags. He is currently level 15 and is looking forward to heading out and kicking some VanCleef ass in the next week or so.
Groove's biggest weakness is that he is my third main human character so leveling him around Redridge and Westfall is, well, boring. He was on a pretty good trajectory, though, until a cow came along named Dogcow. The great brown hope. I'm sure I'll get back to Groove soon though.

Introducing: Alesis
Alesis is a level 60 priest, still trying to find her identity as a holy priest having grown up as a shadow priest. She lives in Draenor with her big brother Foton. She finally reached level 60 about 3 weeks ago and is looking forward to doing some of the high level raid dungeons that even Foton hasn't had the chance to do. Alesis is kind of light in the high end gear and hopefully an upcoming ZG raid will fix that some. Alesis is a level 300 herbalist and alchemist and likes to transmute in her free time. She is saving for an epic mount and is playing the market to try to strike it rich. So far, she has not been overly succesful toiling in the auction house. There is always hope though.
Introducing: Foton
Foton was my first character in WoW, created in November 2004, when the game was first released. He is a paladin in Draenor and hit level 60 in the summer of 2005. We've been through a lot together. It wasn't until he hit level 60 that we started looking into some of the professions. He leveled up to 300 in mining and herbalism mainly to make enough money to get his epic mount. Having achieved that, he occasionally joins in blackrock dungeon raids but his play slowed down when Alesis was born.
Undocumented Workers
I've been playing World of Warcraft for about 18 months now and I've gotten two characters up to level 60 but their adventures have been largely undocumented and forgotten. I've been meaning to create a blog to write about what they've done at each level so that I could look back, see how long I had been playing and what we had done but I never got around to it. Until now.
So this site will be the documentation of my characters, mostly on Draenor, from this day forward. Now that's good blogging!
And for anyone looking for political commentary on undocumented workers or immigration issues -- well you'll just need to keep looking.
